The insurance industry is a 2 trillion-dollar industry, and the Adjuster plays a huge role in the execution of the insurance policy. 

If you own or rent your home, own a car, have a boat, or own a business, the fact is you will at one time in your life meet an insurance adjuster. There are different aspects of insurance adjusting you can decide to work in.  Property adjusters handle homes and businesses. Content adjusters handle content in the home. Marine adjusters handle boats and auto adjusters handle automobiles.

The adjuster’s role is to investigate and verify the claim, then write an estimate for the damages once all the information has been gathered and presented to the insurance company.  Once the insurance company reviews all the facts, they make a determination of coverage and pay or deny the claim.  There are different ways adjusters are compensated. You can work for an insurance company, or you can be an Entrepreneur Adjuster or Independent Adjuster where you work with insurance companies. A staff Adjuster works and receives a set salary and other benefits.  An Independent or Entrepreneur Adjuster works with an insurance company and gets paid by the number of claims you can inspect, write an estimate for the damages and submit the claim to as many insurance companies you have the capacity to work with.
